Underappreciated in the voting process, but you have my vote!
That's a nice piece of work, and I wouldn't mind having that on my desk ^_^

    Good luck,
    Cheers, Mike.

Cheers Peter, spot on in my opinion. You've got my vote. Echoing LiquidAtor, very underappreciated in voting. People are missing the bus here.

Here's to the votes rolling in...

Thanks guys, really appreciate it :)

Nice build man, freakin AWESOME! - Nice clean look, I get an industrial vibe to it, its like a work of art inside a glass casing...not exaggerated - practical - BEAUTIFUL!

Thanks a lot guys! Appreciate it! :)

  3. Finally! I have to admit these were some stress full weeks to meet the deadline .. but I did it! :)
As some of you know I'm a 'slow' modder and like to take my time to figure things out.
However I'm really happy with the result, I hope you like 'L3p C0re' too!

A huge thanks goes out to Thermaltake and the sponsors for supporting modders worldwide!
And off course every one here for watching.
    Keep on modding! B)

  4. Almost there!

Some extra protection for the glass panels.

    54%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

    Like a charm

    55%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

    56%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

    57%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

Still had the panel scews from a previous project and wanted the same look on the top as the front.

    58%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

Had to re-drill and tap the mounts to M5

    59%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

At first I had the idea to mount all cables and controllers on the back outside.
Even though we're at a deadline I decided to change it completely and hide all cables inside too.
And while I'm at it .. sleeve the pump cables too.

    60%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

So had to dismount everything to be able to change the fans and their wiring.

    61%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

And it's back inside. Now to hide all this.

    62%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

All fans and RGB connectors hidden, Now just the power cables.

    63%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

Decided to create some more construction/stability on the bottom of the case in case it ever needs to be shipped. And more cable-hiding possibilities.

    65%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

    Seriously hate these splinters

    67%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

And there we go, exactly as I wanted it.

    68%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

Time to fill it up!

  5. Thanks, really appreciated :)

I have to say, with contests my goal never is to win anything but just create something I would want on (or as) a desk.
I'm actually quite a slow modder because of family and work go first and that I always need things in my hands before I can do anything,
Also because of the contest rules like updating every week AND have it finished by the 22nd of February (incl final photoshoot)
I completely changed my original idea. First idea was to make a benchtable.
So with the limited time for the build and buildlog I went for something any one could actually make without adding extra weird / custom fabricated parts.
Just a drill, grinder and jigsaw. And fun thing is .. even I don't know what the result will be in 9 days. Just go with the flow!

So .. still figuring out how to hide all the cables with this open design

    50%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

Also decided to re-use the original glas panels, however I will shorten the steel poles from 190mm to 95mm so the glas panels will have a 2mm spacing.
    Inception!

    51%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

As time is limited and I didn't want to do it by handsaw used the grinder at work.

    52%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

    Love sparks!

    53%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

  6. And here we go again.
    More parts arrived.

    12%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

After a lot of brainstorming my whole idea changed for this case.

    14%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

    15%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

Going for something more compact then the original with just parts from the original.

    16%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

    17%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

    A lot of measuring.

    18%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

    And some changes needed

    19%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

    20%20%5B2560pxl3pTt%5D.JPG

First drilling and sawing can start

    Behold ... 13 million splinters

  7. Thank you too :)

One riser is indeed included in the package per P5, however you can get them separately too.

Yes you can also use the GPU's vertically more info here: http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00002732

The stock panel is acrylic/plexi and indeed has holes to mount it when it's vertically. My glass just stays in place cause of the non-slippery pads I used and the glass panels own weight.

Not sure if it has a mounting for a 5.25 though.

    Goodluck!
