thanks guys, am really trying my best to stay tuned to the theme piracy and prophecy.

with any luck i shoul be finished with the interior and all other trifles by sunday evening or monday latest. monday is a national holiday here so that helps too. that means i should be able to srt getting some color into the equation then.

Wow, this is such an amazing build!!  The attention to detail and craftsmanship are second-to-none.  I can't wait to see the next project update!

 

thanks mate. yes indeed, i love details, and more over i love making every little detail myself.

 

lasered, cnc and 3d printed stuff, whether made myself or ordered from a 3rd party  is a nogo for me, its a pity that their is so much of that going on.

it doesnt show what one is really capable of, but what one can make a machine do in automation, or let and have a machine do.

anyway that seems to be the way things are going and the trend now. while loving and gaping at the result of such automation parts because of their precicion, i cannot say that i could ever value, cherish or admire them or could put the ARTIST stamp on them.

all the more reason for me to yet again stress the fact that everything i make is made only by me, without any automatic tools at all. 100% good old hand made man made stuff. soon color is coming, then it will live

thanks to you too. lets hope the detailed color scheme i have in mind also pays off.

 

yes guys, now color will slowly lightne things up. dont have much time now to get this finished so its nonstop modding for me now.

here is the first stain in brown, which will more or les be sanded off now.

i also made a ssd quick dock station in pirate ship deck plank style to match the theme.

i will be in the workshop in an hour till open end and try to get as much priming, sanding and repainting donas as possible today.

 

dont worry, this is not the final color, this is the the weather beaten primer.

Your concept and creativity was uncanny and I know that this Rig of yours will inspire many people to Mod as well. 

 

I am from the Philippines and I know we are not that rich of a country but your Rig inspired me to save money and build a rig that i am dreaming of making (a Heaven and #### Rig), just a concept that i dreamed and was not able to build due to budget constraints. 

 

You got my vote on this contest and I hope that you win this thing! Hoping for the best! You are really great! Keep it up man!

Hi Jos214demi, and thank for your kind words. I appreciate them. yes budjetting hobbies, especially casemodding is always a certain

burden, I know that only too well. I am happy if my casmods can inspire people to realise that one can also build great themes in low budjets too. Heaven and he...... sounds good. Exactly my type of theme too. Thanks in advance for your readiness, but do look at all the cases and then cast your vote. 

here are some more pics, its still just the primer stains brown, red and then black though, will still change a lot. tomorrow some of this color will be sanded off again to reveal some of the wood and give it a used worn weather beaten look.

 

for staining I am using printer ink in my airbrush.

I already seen all the cases and so far 3 cases got my attention. Ronnie Hara's Ant-man (which is really really good as well) and Corey Gregory's case - Star Wars (can't wait on how he will paint that monster). I think this guys will be some of your greatest rivals in this contest. but I am still rooting for you!

so here is a little update, well actually 5 coats of sanding, staining, paining glazing etc.. just less pics.

 

 

this skull was meant for an aquarium, now i need to make it look a bit grimmer and meaner.

here are some before and after pics.

i used furniture smart remait wax and sawa dust to better the eyes.

i amusing printer ink to stain in my ait brush for everything where the wood grain should show through. organic is the word.

 

one of the gun whale canons will open the dvd drive so i laid a bypass wire for the switch.

 

i touched up the skull with solver after painting it black.

 

i did the same by fingering the canons too, make em look a bit more worn metalic looking.

 

i did the same silver touch up look on the little shield skulls too.

thanks jos, i am really glad you like it and yes you are right, the corep5 is really worth its salt, very stable and rugged even though it looks fragile.

i mean hey, the pirates are keel hauling it and its surviving, right.

i am now walking the plank and sticking everything together, then they will all be wed together. so another update will be on its way tonight, here is the first.

have taken the day and weekend off to finish as much as possible.

 

so first the main chassis holder has made it upstairs for the final glaze, its sunny today thanks ####.

i cut a new bottle with the dremel, the last one had scratches.

the front banner, is now metalic and the swords are mounted.

 

i dipped these eva foam letters in a wood glue dilution to primer them before painting.

so, the bottles are fixed and waiting to be filled with rum,,,
