Hi

I've just ordered the 850W version of this, and was wondering if there is any way of connecting the RGB Riing fans (old version, with 3 button controller as opposed to the new Digital ones)?

Hi Alex,

The old version of RGB Riing fans are not compatible with software control due to the different hardware design.

you are very welcome to share the photo of your build with us  :)

Hi,

The main differences between these two power supply are the digital feature and monitoring tools. For example, Toughpower DPS G RGB PSU support the DPS G PC App that can control the RGB lighting digitally and monitor the PSU's status. In the other hand, Smart Pro RGB only support the switch button on the back to control 6 different RGB lighting.

so the smart Pro series and thoughpower Grand are alike which are supported by a switch in the back to control RGB lighting.

Hi,

that's right.

the only difference between these two model is the 80 plus rating.

Toughpower Grand RGB is gold rating and Smart Pro RGB is bronze rating

Hello.... I recently bought a DPS 1250w and here are a couple pics.  It's tucked away a little but you can still see it.  It's a very nice looking PSU and perfect for my build.   It's not done yet - I will install my eVGA GTX1080ti FTW3 soon.

It's difficult to provide a definitive answer without more information about the specific product and setup. However, in general, if the RGB Riing fans have a 3-button controller, it may be possible to connect them to the power supply or motherboard using the appropriate cables and connectors. It's important to ensure compatibility and follow any instructions or guidelines provided by the manufacturer.

Glad to be part of the club!  The Toughpower DPS G RGB is a beast—solid performance and those customizable RGB lights really add flair to any build. Love the software monitoring, too—great for keeping tabs on temps and efficiency.

Anyone else paired it with a tempered glass case? The lighting looks incredible through it!
