I've just ordered the 850W version of this, and was wondering if there is any way of connecting the RGB Riing fans (old version, with 3 button controller as opposed to the new Digital ones)?

Hi Alex,

The old version of RGB Riing fans are not compatible with software control due to the different hardware design.

what is the main difference of TT thoughpower DPS G RGB vs TT Smart Pro RGB

The main differences between these two power supply are the digital feature and monitoring tools. For example, Toughpower DPS G RGB PSU support the DPS G PC App that can control the RGB lighting digitally and monitor the PSU's status. In the other hand, Smart Pro RGB only support the switch button on the back to control 6 different RGB lighting.

that's right.

the only difference between these two model is the 80 plus rating.

Toughpower Grand RGB is gold rating and Smart Pro RGB is bronze rating

Hello.... I recently bought a DPS 1250w and here are a couple pics.  It's tucked away a little but you can still see it.  It's a very nice looking PSU and perfect for my build.   It's not done yet - I will install my eVGA GTX1080ti FTW3 soon.

i am surprised the psu fan only have 2 little led in them and it cant do rainbow mode.

so i give it a little hand and make it better.

How easy was it to do the fan conversion to this fan please, and what did you have to do? I have the 1250w variant which is not the irgb model and would love rainbow lighting.

The TT TPS G app sucks! Thermaltake can't develop great software UI on any level. What a let down for the user. Oh, well moving on to Asus Loki now.

As of today I'm very disappointed in TT support. Some users have issues with DPS G software (which doesn't work at all), last update is dated mid 2023, and there is no reply from TT...
