Tt Andy reacted to Renegade in Thermaltake V71 Fire Honeycomb mod
Greetings Klaus Andy!
The white is actually a primer. The intended colour I'm using needed a primer coat to get the coat of paint to properly stick.
I did checkout some of the awesome builds from the V71 Owner's Club, but I felt that the thread was dedicated to finished rigs, as opposed to a commenced case mod.
I've already dropped an email to the Thermaltake Team who have very quickly responded today!

In regards to the side exhaust fan i reckon it mainly keeps the case cooler. Its the two 140mm front intake fans for the gpus that really improved things.
Although i'm sure the 200 does help a bit (ie: cooler case = cooler everything inside)
Also the top rad is set to intake - so the 200 helps there also. Ps.: I hooked up a voltmeter to the fan controller power out and noticed it topped out at 9V (high) & 6V (low). The yellow wire seems to send out a 12V signal to just turn on the leds. So connected it (with a y-splitter to another fan with rpm signal) to the MB and the yellow wire to the led switch and works like a charm (Lights + auto fan speed control). When the 200mm is hooked up to the MB its noticeably louder and pushes out some serious air. -
Tt Andy reacted to Tt-Van in Van's Building a PC!
Hello Community members,
To better understand just what goes into building a rig and to help out new builders I have decided to build a new rig.
Since I am a beginner when it comes to building PCs I would love your feedback. I plan on posting my progress once or twice a week in this thread so let’s have some fun with this!
Cheers,
Van

Honestly I'm mind blown, It has held up since this post even with a 1045T overclock, it gets pretty warm after about an hour in BF4, but has never crashed on me!
Don't mean to promote it here, giving the Thermaltake PSU's, But for a 600W this thing is one of the best bangs for your buck i've found out.
Thanks Andy! Awesome to see that you guys at TT think its cool, I've put alot of time and money in this computer, crazy going from micro ATX and a HD6570 OEM too Full ATX and 7970 Crossfire, Case got real small real fast, but ive made it work lol.

Tt Andy reacted to Dabeavis in What type of cooling do you currently use for your system?
I'll be using stock or similar Air Cooling normally since the i5-4590 I'm getting can't be overclocked.

I do a lot of work from my laptop unfortunately but I make sure to have all the things I need near by
I didn't know where else to share this so though here would be a good place.
I am in the process of getting an X99 based system together to take place of the laptop and it will of course feature some Thermaltake goodness (Case/Cooler and PSU hopefully)
For now, I present you my work area
Photo was resized for Facebook so apologies for the quality and size.

That build looks awesome man!
Just out of curiosity, 600w for crossfire 7970 hows the PSU holding up?
you must be squeezing every little bit of juice out of that power supply

Sorry for the bad quality.
Little bit of cleaning up but turned out good I think.

Tt Andy reacted to ThermalMike in Not enough power but have an old PSU lying around? <Introducing Thermaltake Dual PSU 24Pin Adapter Cable>
Definitely something we will look into.
The Dual PSU cable should be showing up this month in the US!
This is also a great solution for users looking at 4+ GPU configurations. Allows dedicated power strictly to the GPUs.
Bitcoin Miners rejoice!

Tt Andy got a reaction from dO_ob in Not enough power but have an old PSU lying around? <Introducing Thermaltake Dual PSU 24Pin Adapter Cable>
Not enough power to run your overclocked cards? don't let your old power supply go to waste!
The new Thermaltake dual PSU 24pin adapter cable comes with high quality connectors to connect two power supply units to a single motherboard, enabling the addition of a second power supply unit.
Pictures below show 3 Overclocked GTX's in SLI benching 3DMark!
The Dual 24pin adapter cable can be easily connected to two power supply units simultaneously.
When you require higher wattage from your PSU you can keep your existing unit (rather than replacing it) and connect an additional unit to meet your power requirement.
For more information on the cable you can visit this LINK

Tt Andy reacted to Dirty South PC Mods in Have you ever regretted a purchase?
Only regret one purchase. And that was the Only Case I bought that wasn't a Tt. It shall remain nameless but it was by far the worst purchase I have ever made. Side panels wouldn't stay on, little doors wouldn't stay up, and impossible to get to GPU brackets. Just Horrible.

Tt Andy got a reaction from dO_ob in Silence optimized builds anyone?
Has anyone built any Thermaltake silence optimized builds?
We actually have a few cases that can provide you with great sound dampening whilst keeping a simple yet elegant look!

Tt Andy reacted to Dabeavis in What are the names of your rigs?
My upcoming one is the Red Comet which is a common nickname Char Aznable from Mobile Suit Gundam is refferred to as due to the red mechs he pilots that are allegedly 3x faster than their normal counterparts (which is appropriate considering I haven't really used a PC with a Dedicated GPU in years). If I was to make future builds they would likely be successors such as "Red Comet Mk.II" and "Red Comet Ground-Type"

I thought I'd post our MOD24 mod up we were very happy to have the Water 3.0 360mm cooler and a full selection of Thermaltake fans ready for our build. So I thought I'd drop a post here to share and answer any questions anyone might have about such a crazy contest and trying to do a good mod in just 24 hours.
