eqeqeqe reacted to Dabeavis in The Fighting Computer - My First PC Build
After having to deal with an Acer laptop and an HP desktop with their dated dual cores and integrated GPUs for close about 5 years, I decided almost 2 years ago to build my own computer with some assistance from my uncle. I've slowly but surely got most of the parts, settling for some temporary cheapo parts to get it up and running along the way. After the cheapo parts, I got a smaller case and upgraded most of the parts to better ones like an i5-6500, RX 480 and an H170 ATX motherboard.

The name Fighting Computer is a reference to Warsman (shown above) from an 80's wrestling anime called Kinnikuman (Which is the predecessor to what's known in the west as Ultimate Muscle). I originally called this build Red Comet as a reference to Mobile Suit Gundam, but there's far more gray/black than red here and I'm more of a Kinnikuman fan anyway.

    Thank #### for this thread!

I've been up super late for almost a week trying to figure out #### is going on with my brand new build. I reckon I tried EVERY possibility possible (except for plugging the GPU directly into motherboard) and had the same issue every #### time. I changed the PCIE Mode on slot 1 to GEN 2.0 and it worked for a day... which I was pretty happy about but not 100% satisfied.

Thanks to everyone who has raised this issue and recommended the 3M cable as that is the one I have ordered. I have complete confidence this cable will work without any issues.

Now I can finally play GTA V in peace

eqeqeqe reacted to Umbrella Corp. in X71 Hard tube build N00b style
My first attempt at hard tubing in the X71, I tried to fit a EK-CoolStream CE 280 double at the top and a EK-CoolStream CE 420 Triple at the front but couldn't get the top one in because of clearance.

Tubing is not the best and no where near straight, I'm thinking of redoing that centre tube coming from the out port of the CPU block back to the res. And it being my first hard tubing go, I wasted quite a bit of tube. My advice is plan and measure your tube routs carefully first before turning the heat gun on.

I'm a little disappointed in this case, however I'm going to try and make the best of it.

Just finished leak testing/flushing last night, will post some more pics/videos of final fill and bleed later tonight.

eqeqeqe reacted to Neoblizz in How do I troubleshoot my water cooling kit?
I purchased and installed a "Thermaltake Pacific RL120 Water Cooling Kit" in my computer, and it worked perfectly fine for past 6 months. Just few days ago though, my computer overheated and turned itself off. I realized that there was air in the pipes that may have caused water to not pump properly and therefore the overheating the system.

I filled more liquid to get rid of air, and in the process found out that one of the pipe was loose. I drained the water loop and redid the entire loop (this time everything is perfectly fit). Now, when I turn on the power the water won't pump back up to the CPU. I left it running on only for few minutes but the water won't move at all.

Before I go around replacing parts, I wanted to know proper way to troubleshoot such problem. If you guys can give me some suggestions, that will be awesome! I haven't contacted Thermaltake, I believe either I am doing something wrong or the Thermeltake Pacific PR15, because as I understand that is the pump and if that doesn't work, water won't pump up.

Hello TT and welcome to my first sponsored build! Its an honour to be working with Thermaltake on this project and hopefully future projects as well!

I will be working with Thermaltake's Core G3 slim ATX case. Its really great to be able to put an ATX board in such a small case and opens up a whole bunch of options for your living room computer. I will be painting the case and installing a liquid cooling system for the cpu. If you can read my banner you probably already know the theme of this build, and yes I will be 'tastefully' applying about 250 stickers, as well as some other mods.

    The components:
    I5 2500k
    MSI Z68 mobo
    XFX RX 480
    G.skill 16Gb ram
    Thermaltake SFX Toughpower 600w
    128gb micron SSD
    3Tb Seagate HDD
    Liquid cooling by Thermaltake
    & Thermaltake Core G3

Core G3 stripped down to the bare case:

New Thermaltake 12mm hard tube fittings:

Thermaltake's new Pacific W4 RGB cpu water block:

Thermaltake SXF Toughpower 600W gold PSU:

    Riing plus RGB premium edition:

These should make great radiator fans.

eqeqeqe reacted to macst34 in TT RGB fans - current lineup - model numbers - notes
    Hi All,

I've been thinking of picking up some RGB fans for my watercooling setup. Before I buy something, I always do my homework. Previously, I was thinking of getting NZXT AER RGB's,  They are also about 30$ a pop, but their RGB light ring would be facing the rad(and defeat the purpose of RGB) if I did push-pull.

I happened on TT's Riing line, but their product line is confusing and all over the place. So I dove in and tried to make sense of the situation. Please feel free to correct me if I have any details incorrect.

Here is a summary of my findings so far. There are three lines of RGB fans: Riing RGB(12cm/14cm), Ring Premium RGB (12cm/14cm)  and Ring Plus Premium RGB (12cm only). All are advertised as high static pressure and suitable for radiator use. The software for the Riing Premium and Riing Plus seems to suck pretty badly compared to other vendors.

Note: Do not beleive Tt's pictures of the Riing RGB and Riing Premium RGB fan pictures. These fans CANNOT show more than one color on a fan at one time!! This feature is only available on the Riing Plus.

    macst34

    Riing RGB:
    - Central Light guide which shows leds from both sides of the fan (as opposed to AER)
    - Individual Leds are NOT addressable, so one fan can only show one color for all LEDs at one time.
    - fans use proprietary 5 pin connector to hub
    - Simple 3 button controller hub (3 fans per hub) ; can daisy chain controller hubs.

    Riing RGB premium
    - Central Light guide
    - Individual Leds are NOT addressable, so one fan can only show one color for all LEDs at one time.
    - fans use proprietary 5 pin connector to hub; Fan motor seems to be the same as Ring RGB fans
    - USB controller hub / no buttons software control only (3 fans per hub) ; can daisy chain controller hubs.
    - uses "Ring RGB Tt Premium Edition" software, current version 2.1.2 - *seems the software hub and fan fin profile are the major differences compared to the Riing RGB line.   Riing Plus RGB premium
    - Central Light guide
    - Individual Leds are addressable, the fan can show different colors LEDs at same time on a single fan.
    - proprietary 9 pin connector to hub
    - USB controller (different from Riing RGB premium)
    - uses "Ring Plus RGB Tt Premium Edition" software,  current version 1.0.2
    - no 14cm size.

So, I recently got this challenger prime gaming keyboard. I know how the program for it works and all but when I try using the macros in game..they don't work right. Even when I do click "record delays" it's almost no different than when I record without delays. For example i'll check the "record delay" then hit record, and Press "D" "D" 'D".  Lets say it took me 10 seconds to press D, 3 times. I'd press "stop recording" Then "apply" then "ok" and then when I go in game and test out the macro it doesn't do what I set it to do. It would  "DDD" in like 1-2 seconds ( when it took me 10 seconds when recording the macro ), It seems like these macros are only good for messages......I don't see the point of it having a "record delay" when it doesn't even record exactly what I do. Is there something I can do to fix this or was this keyboard a waste of money?? HELP!

I have completed the "left" side..  This is my gaming pc..  I have it water cooled..  The tubes will eventually travel across to the "right" side which will be my server but at the moment I have it looped.. you can see the centre support brace which is to support the 10mm Acrylic top in the centre where the monitor sits. It will also has the tubing passing through it..  . The wiring needs to be sorted...  I had to mod the cases slightly to allow for the Steel tube that connects the two P5's.. Here are a few pics..  I have more..  will maybe add them at a later date..

eqeqeqe reacted to K2Core in Saphira - Scroll wiggle in some positions
I bought my Saphira 3 months ago. It's really greate mouse with epic sensor and switches, but i have one problem. In some positions scroll feels loose. It's not totally loose, it's like half milimetr space that scroll can move to left and up, so in fast movement it wiggle, do some noise and you can acutally feel it when you move mouse mid-air. On other steps scroll is rock solid and you don't feel any loose on it when move mid air. The steps don't change it always wiggle on certain spots, so i can scroll forward 3 steps from good position, it will go wiggle, and then go back 3 steps and it stops doing it.

I think it's not enough to send it on guarantee, but is there any tip how to make it less distracting?
And is it sign of future scroll problems like in some first faulty saphiras or is it normal and I just should get used to it?

Hello, today I want to post my feedback on the saphira mouse.

I have bought 2 of this mice, one for my brother and one for a friend, I tested them both, and this is what I think:

The hardware part is brilliant, the avago 3090 sensor is just a masterpiece and the switches, wheel and shape of the mouse are just spot on, the problem is the software. I dont know why thermaltake decided to make a different software for each peripheral, i have tried the black mouse too, and the software is just very weak and buggy, in the saphira software when i try to adjust the dpi it has to be done in a special manner because if you try to type in the dpi number it just doesnt save, the double click speed and the scroll speed slider just dont work, and if i save a polling rate value to the mouse it resets when i plug it in a different pc, I set it to 1000hz on my pc and when i plug it in my laptop it works at 125 or 500. The software gave me a windows error after instalation and the graphical design of it is just wrong.

The other problem with this mouse is the sensor, I dont get why it malfunctions so fast, this same sensor (3090) works flawlessly on other mice (spawn, g400, deathadder 3.5g) I can reach high speeds with those mice, but in the saphira it locks when I move it too fast, Ive tested this with a qck+ mousepad and with a wooden desk and it gives me the same result, it has to be a firmware error because this sensor is just perfect, the saphira is very accurate and works good, but it doesnt reach the same speeds as other mice with this sensor.

I have tested this mouse with different computers and versions of windows and it is always the same errors.

It has a minor bug too, the lock switch is bugged, when you flip the switch to lock the side buttons they still work.

eqeqeqe reacted to HardcoreBob in [FIX] How to Fix Red Arrows on SAPHIRA Mouse
There have been several threads on this forum about people who had questions about removing the big red "Forward" and "Backward" arrows that appear on screen.
    I'm talking about these:

On other TT eSports mice you can just right mouse click the tray icon and turn off the OSD.
But when you try to do that to the SAPHIRA software, it just opens. (At least on mine, Windows 10)

Here's what I did to fix it:

    1. Find your mouse software directory, usually
C:\Program Files (x86)\Thermaltake Ttesports Saphira Gaming

    2. Find the file called "tTOSD201101.exe" and rename it so that the program can't find it anymore.
For instance, you can call it "DISABLED_tTOSD201101.exe"

Done! No more annoying red arrows!
I wanted to make this thread because I couldn't find the solution online.

    CPU - Intel 3770K /w EK Block
    Ram - 8Gb (4Gb x 2) G.Skill 2133Mhz /w EK Block
    GPU - EVGA GTX 660Ti 2Gb /w EK Block
PSU - Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 1050W PSU
    SSD - OCZ Vertex 4 120Gb
    Fans - Thermaltake Luna 20 LED 200mm x 2 and Thunderblade Rv2 80mm x 2
    Phobya 200mm Extreme Radiator
    Magicool 160mm (80mm x 2) Radiator
Swiftech DDC Pump /w Bitspower Pump top
    Primochill Flow indicator
    Monsoon Econo line Rigid fitings
Monsoon Blood Red PMMA Rigid Tubing

First up doing a quick dry fit to see if all the parts I want to use will fit. And it looks like they will. The 200mm Radiator however will need a bit of coaxing.

Ok so now that I know that the parts that I wan't to use will fit. Drilled out the rivets that hold the Mobo plate in place so I can mod it to fit the 200mm Radiator and to prep it for paint.

Using a Right angle grinder with a cut off wheel to remove the small part support on the left so the Radiator will fit. Luckily the HDD drive cage will make up for the lack o support there.

After that was cut off we switch to a Flapper Wheel on the grinder to smooth out the edges.

Once that part was removed the 200mm Radiator will fit with enough room to do a push/pull fan setup

Oh man that is a super tight fit..Running that 24 pin is going to be fun

Alright time to get this bad boy ready for paint.

When sanding your case for paint. There is no need to go all the way down to the metal just take the shine off.

And there we have a white Core V1.

Now we need to get the Thermaltake Toughpower Gold 750W PSU headed in the right direction.

    There we go much better.

Painted the SSD/HDD Caddy with Banner Red.

Thermaltake was gracious enough to send me two of the 200mm Luna Red LED fans. Thanks guys

All the Hardware (minus the 160mm rad it is drying its paint)

Having a bit of fun with Tt Dude .

Going for a blood splatter effect I think it came out rather well.

check out the reflection off of the mirrored floor.

With all the hardware crammed in there you can bet it was no easy task to get that hard-line in there.

After a successful leak test here we go.

Had to get the rigs all shined up for a Local Rock show. Had the Thermaltake Core V1 "Dexter" and Urban T-81 "Man of Steel" folks were really digging on the Core V1. Still need sleeve the cables and do some detail work on the inside to get it ready for HorrorCon

    Hoping someone can help me,

got my new commander combo, had no problem with getting drivers for the keyboard but auto update seems to not be able to get the drivers for the mouse. does anyone have a link to the drivers for this particular product, as all. of the links on the website appear to not work for me.

also, how do i install the software that comes with the drivers to edit macros and features of the combo?

    thank you in advance

    Hi all..

I have begun a new build, and its my first build since the 90' ...
Its a replacement for my old Apple Mac Mini, that  died on me some weeks ago. Then I look a the prices, and went for a HackInTosh build.
(And there went my savings for the trip to New York)
Its a workingstation build, not a gaming rig, for that I have my consoles.

    Here is some specs:
Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor Enermax LiqMax II 240 AIO Liquid CPU cooler Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 TH ATX LGA1151 Motherboard G.Skill TridentZ Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory Corsair RM 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply Thermaltake Core P5 ATX Mid Tower Case I finish the first stage: Assembly of the Core P5 chassis, that will be the main platform.
ATM I'm installing the main hardware, so we can make the first boot and do some testing.
When its up an running, I have to do the planning of:
Where to mount my drives, and how. Where to install the Raspberry Pi. ( more on the Pi later) Where to install RGB leds. Water cooling design and mount. You can follow my build, and join in if you want. Everything is shared on BitBucket.

Pictures, more info and progress comming soon..
