Below are some pictures of how I had my P5 last, unfortunately it didn't last long in its current form before I wanted to re-do it. I am currently sanding away on the new paint job, the old one was not up to my standards and kept flaking off. This time I have painted it metallic blue.

    Hey Guys!

I'm new here and new to custom watercooling builds in general. So it all started back in January 2016 when I fulfilled my dream of building my own gaming pc. I actually started off with an AIO cooling solution back then already but since it was my first build I wanted nothing to complicated to start off. At that point I was bitten by the bug and there was no turning back anymore. The only thing I was doing was research and reading forums about builds and ideas. The first build was red and black themed (yeah typical and lame by now) but I actually loved it. So in that year pretty much all my money went into my rig with upgrading hardware and changing up things aesthetically. I just wasnt fully satisfied until now. So there came christmas and I knew I wanted a new montior but the model I wanted was just too #### expensive.
So I was thinking for weeks until I found a picture of the Core P5 with a custom loop configuration and I knew I needed something like that. Only problem was I absolutely had no idea about watercooling. I did my research for weeks trying to figure out what I need and what looks good. Hardline or soft? PETG or acrylic? What pump? Bending how? But I really wanted to know everything about this and so sucked in every bit of tip or trick on the inet. So there I was ordering all my parts and boy I can tell you I was shocked at first because of the price! Really didnt think it would bust my wallet this bad! But after this build Im so into watercooling or modding in general its unbelievable! But I think I talked enough.. if theres any questions or anything just hit me up! I present my own green beast:

I could definitely use a "EnerG 8800" I'm always on the go. From school to work to the film sets and I've had my phone die on me several times especially when I needed it the most and with this I know I can live that life without worrying that my phone would die and even if it does with this device I can revive my phone battery.

I bought  the TT Riing Plus 12 LED RGB fans and  installed them in my new system. They are spinning and lighting up, but in the software they are not detected. I can't select a Hub number in the upper left corner. The fans are shown as 0 rpm.

The internal USB 2.0 header works fine with everything else i connect to it. The motherboard I use is the Asus Mamimus IX ROG Formula.
Does anyone have an idea why this is?

My first attempt at hard tubing in the X71, I tried to fit a EK-CoolStream CE 280 double at the top and a EK-CoolStream CE 420 Triple at the front but couldn't get the top one in because of clearance.

Tubing is not the best and no where near straight, I'm thinking of redoing that centre tube coming from the out port of the CPU block back to the res. And it being my first hard tubing go, I wasted quite a bit of tube. My advice is plan and measure your tube routs carefully first before turning the heat gun on.

I'm a little disappointed in this case, however I'm going to try and make the best of it.

    Dear PC enthusiasts,
today I want to introduce to you my second Thermaltake Core x9 build. This time I want to do something other than last time. I allready made some changes, so you can still see the concept.

    Basement:

    Concept:
The case will be seperated horizontaly. The lower part of the case will be holding two 480mm/60mm radiators. The new cover on each side of the case will hold one of them. Behind the front I will add an HDD/SSD cage, so you can mount them easily. The PSU will get a new position in the upper of the case. Mounted right behind the front, you got a great view on the PSU and the cables. Next to it I will mount the reservoir and go straight to the midplate into the lower section of the case. To get a good view all over the case I will install acrylic plates in the top and both sides.

    Hope you like this build.
    Stay tuned

Project Open Core: Thermaltake P5 Build (Introduction)

I have been using my current build for almost 5 years now, and it is time for an upgrade!  Not only are the components getting a bit long in the tooth, but I recently received my Oculus Rift VR Headset, and my system just wasn't ready to help me step into the world of virtual reality.

For this new build, will be using the Thermaltake Core P5, open air case.  This time around decided to go with hard acrylic tubing, so I did a 3D render in Google SketchUp to get a better idea of how things would be installed, and what kind of bends I will need to do.

This is going to be a bit different from by previous builds using the Corsair 800D, as there will not be much "modding" required to the case itself (we will see if that holds true).  I really like the design of the Core P5, and am looking forward to seeing what I can create using it.

I will be including some custom lighting as well, but still deciding which direction I want to go with the acrylic panels, and lighting source.  Testing both RGB LED light strips and EL Wire at the moment.

I will go into more detail regarding the components that will be used in a future post. Until then, check out this short video showing the 3D render from a few different angles.

Tt community forums are a place where people can interact and have discussions about several different topics. However, we ask that you follow these simple guidelines to ensure that the forums have some productive conversation. These rules and guidelines are enforced by administrators and moderators, and at their discretion, may delete posts without warning that do not comply. Also, failure to comply with these rules may result in a ban from the forums or the entire site!

    - No "Flaming" -- writing hostile or insulting messages aimed at other users for their views, comments, status as a user on the site, or any other reason. You can disagree with someone's views and still be polite about it.
    - No "Trolling" -- posting controversial (sometimes off-topic) messages with the intent of baiting other users to reply.
    - No "Spamming" -- No advertisements, or referral links to other services. We also classify "spam" as short replies which do not contribute to a forum thread in a positive manner. Some forum threads expect short messages, but otherwise short messages are highly discouraged. Do not post for the sake of forum post count... your posts will be removed if we see you posting unhelpful or non-contributing messages.
    - No "Necro" behavior -- posting replies on very old (dead) threads which have not been locked. We only allow "Necro" replies in VERY rare circumstances, all other cases will find your reply removed. We are much more likely to ban users for this behavior than those who let the profanity filter replace cuss words with *'s instead. Still, excessive swearing can get you in trouble too, so keep it clean.
    - No posting of any text which bypasses our profanity filters by purposely misspelling, using letter/symbol substitutions or any other means to bypass our censoring. You will only get one warning for this, then you will be banned from the site.
    - Please do not "hijack" a forum thread by changing the subject. If you want to change the subject, please start a new message thread.
    - Do not complain about getting banned, and do not make another account to circumvent a ban. Do not complain about other users being banned, in the forums or on profile pages of other users.

Just finished a build in a Thermaltake Core V31 case.

I love this case. Best case TT have made in a long time IMHO, though the other Cores are very good too for various reasons.

    Quick list of hardware components:

    1) Intel Core I7 5820K CPU
    2) Asrock X99 Extreme3 motherboard
    3) Corsair Vengeance Blue DDR4-2666mhz 16GB (4x4GB DIMMS) low profile RAM
    4) Dual Sapphire Tri-X R9 290X 8GB Graphics Adapters with original backplates
    5) Crucial MX1000 500GB SSD
    6) WD Green WD20NPVX 2TB 2.5" mechanical HD
    7) Corsair RM 1000 power supply
    8) Corsair sleeved blue modular cables (to be swapped later for custom sleeved)

    Water cooling components:

    1) Swiftech Apogee XL-C clear acrylic water block with 10(!!!!) 5mm white LEDS
    2) Dual EK WB R9 290X Vapor-X plexi/nickel water blocks
    3) Alphacool UT60 360mm radiator (top)
    4) Swiftech MCR320-XP 360mm radiator (front)
    5) Darkside 160mm tube res with bundled DDC PWM pump
    6) Triple Corsair SP120 High performance PWM fans for the Alphacool in push exhausting out the top
    7) Triple Scythe Gentle Typhoon AP-14 fans in front
    8) EK HD 10/12mm acrylic tubing bent with Monsoon 3/8-1/2" Mandrel set
    9) 10 Bitspower BP-BSEML black spakle 10/12mm fittings

1 Darkside 8" lighting strip installed in the back

I named the system Penumbra-V for the lighting gradation that happens from back-to-front, and the "V" for Thermaltake V31 case.

Here's a crappy cell phone pic. I'll get better ones soon, but the potlight that was above it burned out and made it darker than it should have been.

Feedback/criticisms are welcome, but I thought I'd post here as I used the V31 as the basis for this build. Temperatures are great, and I don't think I could find another compact mid-tower case that could hold all this raddage!

Tylerhiels reacted to Erik Bmods in Project: Green Peace. Thermaltake A71 Chaser LCS feat. TT Bigwater850GT
Hey guys. I was asked by thermaltake to do a mod in a case they have had on the market for awhile. The Thermaltake A71 Chaser LCS. They really wanted me to feature the double bay AIO watercooling system that comes with the case. Now me being me I couldn't just do a regular build with the bay res where it normally goes. So doing some custom mods to spruce up the look of the case and AIO.

Now this isn't your regular AIO like a corsair h100i or something along those lines. This case comes with a fully custom loop with quick disconnects for easy draining. However I am not the biggest fan of quick disconnects. But that is the beauty of this unit. You can fully customize the loop with hard tubing if you like......which I totally intend to do. But I will still be incorporating the whole entire unit because the disconnects are very handy for easy draining and repair if needed. But I will be hiding them as they are not the prettiest things IMO.

Now this isn't the first case that  I would choose if were up to me, but I was pleasantly surprised with the full tower. It is for sure marketed more toward the gamer with its aggressive look (which I like a more subdued look in my cases) than a pretty living room PC. The build quality is crazy the side panles are the strongest steel out of any thermaltake chassis I have built in before. - See more at: http://techcity.tv/forum/discussion/comment/1319#Comment_1319

Hello TT and welcome to my first sponsored build! Its an honour to be working with Thermaltake on this project and hopefully future projects as well!

I will be working with Thermaltake's Core G3 slim ATX case. Its really great to be able to put an ATX board in such a small case and opens up a whole bunch of options for your living room computer. I will be painting the case and installing a liquid cooling system for the cpu. If you can read my banner you probably already know the theme of this build, and yes I will be 'tastefully' applying about 250 stickers, as well as some other mods.

    The components:
    I5 2500k
    MSI Z68 mobo
    XFX RX 480
    G.skill 16Gb ram
    Thermaltake SFX Toughpower 600w
    128gb micron SSD
    3Tb Seagate HDD
    Liquid cooling by Thermaltake
    & Thermaltake Core G3

Core G3 stripped down to the bare case:

New Thermaltake 12mm hard tube fittings:

Thermaltake's new Pacific W4 RGB cpu water block:

Thermaltake SXF Toughpower 600W gold PSU:

    Riing plus RGB premium edition:

These should make great radiator fans.
